Doubles team of Marshall and Ferreira ranked No. 1 for 2016 season

Ellis Ferreira and Dave Marshall finished 2016 ranked No. 1 in the U.S. for men's doubles in the age group of 45 and Over Men. The ranking battle was hotly contested between Ferreira/Marshall from Delaware and Oren Motevessal and Joe Kim of California and Wisconsin, respectively. Ferreira/Marshall won two national doubles events in 2016 - The Clay Courts in Virginia and The Hard Courts in Arizona. They were semifinalists in the Indoors in Ohio and the Grass Courts in Philadelphia. Ferreira/Marshall were also undefeated in the intersectional team event in Wilmington at DuPont Country Club. More than 250 teams competed at the National Level during the year, with the Top 100 teams meeting criteria for the ranking.
