Downtown Milford Inc. to host St. Patrick’s Pub Crawl March 17

March 11, 2018

Downtown Milford Inc. will host the 8th Annual St. Patrick’s Pub Crawl from 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday, March 17. As DMI continues its commitment to highlighting downtown Milford in this toasting-the-town tradition, this year’s pub crawl will feature downtown businesses hosting beverage tastings from local breweries, wineries and distilleries as well as family designated driver locations offering nonalcoholic beverages and snacks. Each business will feature a sampling of a unique drink or food and celebrate the holiday with a twist that reflects its specific character.

The event encourages participants to walk through downtown Milford wearing official pub crawl race bibs. In place of T-shirts, the bibs are a new feature this year and allow for crazy, wild and tacky outfits. They’re also one size fits all, friendlier to the environment, and available at all host merchants. The bottom tear-off tag can be entered to win prizes. Bib prices are $20 for bibs purchased prior to the event, and $25  the evening of the pub crawl March 17. Buying bibs early is recommended, as the pub crawl shirts have sold out every year.

“It’s great to see so many people come out and enjoy Downtown Milford,” said DMI President Sara Pletcher. “The pub crawl is a great way for DMI to kick off the year, get people downtown, and showcase many of our merchants and craft breweries, distilleries and wineries. We have some new merchants and vendors participating this year, so it will give people an opportunity to go somewhere new and taste something new.

“The money raised through our generous pub crawl sponsors, hosts and vendors also helps us fund DMI’s economic development activities in support of downtown,” Pletcher said. “The pub crawl brings many to Downtown Milford each year, with the opportunity to see the town’s beautiful and historic merchant district. Even if they don’t shop the night of the crawl, people get a great sense of the community and hopefully will come back and visit again.”

Volunteers are needed, including those with ABC servers’ licenses. To volunteer or for more information, call DMI, 302-839-1180.
