Downtown Milton swimming with fishermen for second tourney

Nearly 200 kids participate in Andy & Opie Fishing Tournament

Nearly 200 children and their families flooded downtown Milton July 16 for the second annual Andy & Opie Fishing Tournament hosted by Techno Goober. The tournament, which ran from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., challenged kids and parents to catch as many fish as possible, providing prizes for best catches in three age groups, as well as overall biggest catch and Goober’s Choice. 

Free water, hot dogs and hamburgers were provided by Irish Eyes Pub & Restaurant in Milton, and the event also featured raffle prizes for parents. Techno Goober also gave away hundreds of prizes to participants, including free fishing rods and tackle boxes.
