Eagles in the Super Bowl!

January 25, 2018

The Philadelphia Eagles played their most complete game of the season on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. Once they got past the first five minutes of OH NO!, the Eagles completely dominated on both sides of the ball.

The most important play of the game was the long interception return for a touchdown to tie the game at seven. From then on, the Eagles outscored the Vikings 31 to 0. Eagles quarterback Nick Foles played his best game of the entire season! In the second half, he was 11 for 11 on pass attempts. The Eagles offense moved the ball up and down the field and the defense put unrelenting pressure on the Vikings for the entire game.

In order for the Eagles to have a chance to win their first championship since 1960, they will have to try to repeat last week's performance. Going up against the New England Patriots is not going to be easy.

In 2005, the Eagles and Patriots faced off in that year's Super Bowl. That was a very close game but went to the Patriots. I think this year's Patriots team is very beatable. Their defense is overrated and if the Eagles can put a lot of pressure on Tom Brady, I think they have a decent chance to win.

The Australian Open is coming down to the wire on the men's side. There is a very good chance that Roger Federer could win again this year. His closest rivals Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic were both eliminated in the quarterfinals making this an even more likely outcome.

On the women's side of the tournament, it is down to the finals between the top two seeds. This match will be close. These two are well matched and will make for long rallies and breaks of serve. Simona Halep and Caroline Wozniacki are both playing for their first major title. It will certainly be a great match to watch.
