Earl Lorenzo ‘Renzi’ Jackson, community leader

Earl Lorenzo “Renzi” Jackson of Millsboro changed worlds Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Earl was 81 years old, a retired television technician, Marine veteran and avid golfer. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, William Earl Jackson and Vina Elvanetta (Babe) Jackson; and two brothers, Atlee and Wyatt Jackson. He is survived by the love of his life, Marilyn Jackson, his wife of 64 years; three daughters, Lauren Zakrociemski, Adrienne Jackson and Leigh Jackson; his grandchildren, Chris Zakrociemski (Cathy) and Lori Zakrociemski; his brothers Ian (Stickle) Harmon and Myron Jackson; his sister, Earlyn Jackson; brother-in-law Warren G. (Tobby) Jackson; sister-in-law Jacqueline Stoner; great-granddaughter, Clara; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

Earl spent many years raising his young family in Philadelphia, Pa., before relocating back to Millsboro in 1975. Earl was a leader in the community, serving over 15 years in prison ministry, acting member of Promise Keepers, Nanticoke Indian Association and contributing to his local church. Known for his infectious smile and classic one-liners; his passion in life was to share the gospel and lead everyone he met to Jesus.

Service will be held at Crossroad Community Church, 20684 State Forest Road, Georgetown, Monday, Dec. 4. The viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to noon, with the funeral beginning at noon.

Burial will follow in Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery in Millsboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Crossroad Community Church, 20684 State Forest Road, Georgetown, DE 19947.
