Edith Rodgers, Mountaire retiree

Edith Rodgers, 95, a daughter of the late John and Mary Mears, was born in Sinepuxent, (Berlin) Md., Oct. 31, 1921. She departed this life Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017.
Edith was employed at Mountaire Farms in Selbyville until she retired in 1984.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Ross Hevelowe Rodgers; and two sons, John and Billy Rodgers. Edith leaves to cherish her memory three sons: William Rodgers and companion LaVonne Purnell of Selbyville, Joe Rodgers and companion Sarah Drummond of Millsboro, and Ross Rodgers and wife Gloria of Frankford; along with 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

A Celebration of her life will be held at noon, Saturday, Jan. 21, at Calvary Pentecostal Church, 13325 Worcester Hwy, Bishopville, Md., where friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon for viewing and visitation. Burial will follow in Wesley U.M. Church Cemetery in Clarksville.
