Egg hunt at Lewes Canalfront Park set March 31

March 15, 2018

To celebrate the arrival of spring, Lewes Canalfront Park will hold its annual egg hunt with activities beginning at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 31. In support of one of the most popular community events in the Cape Region, Friends of Lewes Canalfront Park volunteers have stuffed an incredible 7,000 eggs with candy, trinkets and treasures. The eggs will be hidden throughout the beautiful park resulting in a delightful spectacle of happy little egg hunters. Treats are peanut-free and food-allergy friendly. The park is at 211 Front St. on the banks of the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal in historic Lewes.

The egg hunt will begin at 11 a.m. sharp; check-in begins at 10 a.m. along with many activities such as photos with the Easter Bunny, face painting and balloon artistry. The fun will happen rain or shine, but in the event of heavy rain, little hunters will collect their eggs in the parking area. Tickets are $5 for a single child and $10 for two or more children in a family. The event is recommended for kids 10 years old and younger. Advance registration is encouraged.
