Elizabeth Creadick, Lewes native

June 28, 2017

Elizabeth “Betty-O” Creadick, 86, of Lewes passed away Monday, June 26, 2017, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Thursday, April 30, 1931, in Lewes, daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Perry) Collins.

Betty-O was born and raised in Lewes and graduated from Lewes High School in 1949. During her high school years she enjoyed participating in many activities including basketball, softball and chorus. Following her graduation, Betty-O wed Eddie Creadick, and they would go on to share 65 wonderful years together.

In addition to taking care of her husband Eddie, which was its own full-time job, Betty-O worked for many years at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes as a switchboard operator. In her free time, Mrs. Creadick enjoyed the beach, shopping, reading, and spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and dear friend. Like the Bride and Groom trees that stand outside her home, Betty-O was a longtime fixture in this community who will be missed by many.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Creadick was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Edward. She is survived by her two daughters: Sandy Ribinsky and her husband Joe Jr. of Millsboro, and Beth McCormick and her husband Allyn of Lewes; her four grandchildren: Joey Ribinsky III and his wife Mindy, Bobby Ribinsky Sr., Casey Cornellier and her husband Thomas, and Erin Cahill; six great-grandchildren: Eleah Vittaco and her husband Michael, Lindsay Ribinsky, Joey Ribinsky and his wife Jenna, Bobby Ribinsky Jr., Pearl Cornellier, Duke Cornellier; and her one great-great-grandchild, Adin Vittaco.

Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 29, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Hwy., Lewes, where friends may visit beginning at 10 a.m. Entombment will immediately follow services at Bethel Methodist Cemetery Mausoleum.
