Elsie G. Eyre, loving, caring person

 Elsie G. Eyre, 91, of Lewes, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Christiana Care Health Systems, in Newark. She was born Saturday, Oct. 10, 1925, in Norwich, Norfolk, England, daughter of the late Arthur and Amy (Moore) Fulcher.

Mrs. Eyre was a loving and caring person who took in many foster children over the years. She was a past president of the Cosmopolitan Club, a lifetime member of the Cheverly American Legion, Women's Auxiliary Post 108 where she volunteered for their bazaars. She loved to sew, knit and collect dolls. Mrs. Eyre enjoyed babysitting and taking in kids to care for.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Eyre was preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Felton; her brothers, Arthur and Arbo; and her sister, Janet. She is survived by her loving husband, Lewis R. Eyre; her son, Frank (Marilyn) Svoboda; her daughter, Carol Jermain; her grandchildren: Kelly Battista, Melissa Brady, Dawn (Derek) Hoeltz and Chris (Jen) Felton; her great-grandchildren: Joey, Louie, Tyler, Jacob, Colin, CJ, Tanya and Will; her brothers, Tony and John Fulcher; and many nieces and nephews in England.

A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 24, at 11 a.m., at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, where friends may call beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow the services at Henlopen Memorial Park, 28787 Lockerman Road, Milton.
