Epworth to present a musical tribute for Veterans Day Nov. 11

November 10, 2017

Epworth United Methodist Church will hold a musical tribute to veterans Saturday, Nov. 11, Veterans Day, in the style of the World War II-era Stage Door Canteen. Come and dance the night away while Sweetheart of Song Carolyn Cattafi sings those great songs of World War II backed by an All-Star Band, with Doug Yetter on piano, Bruce Chappelle on bass, Ken Schleifer keepin' the beat on drums, Glenn Luedtke on trumpet, and Cody Leavel on saxophone and clarinet. Leavel recently returned to the area after a four-year world tour with the Glenn Miller Orchestra.

Tickets are available online (eumcrb.org/canteen) or at the door for $10. Proceeds from the event will go toward Epworth's Music Ministries. Beverages, snacks, and dessert will be available for purchase.

Epworth United Methodist Church is located at 19285 Holland Glade Road, just north of Rehoboth Beach off Route 1. Epworth UMC is a church Exploring Faith & Embracing Community, truly practicing open doors, open minds and open hearts as a member of the Reconciling Ministry Network, and includes American Sign Language services.
