Everett F. Cornwell, 76, of Milford, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017.
Everett was born in N. Buena Vista, Iowa, son of the late Everett H. and Ida Mae (Tinkey) Cornwell.
He was a service technician with Southern States in Milford for 32 years. Everett was also a member of Carlisle Fire Company and South Bowers Fire Company.
He is survived by four sons, Everett J. Cornwell, Ricky Cornwell, Jesse Cornwell and wife Brandi, and Joey Cornwell and wife Marcy; a brother, Jack Cornwell; a sister, Mary Warnke; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Friday, Jan. 20, at 1 p.m., in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Homes, 119 NW Front St., Milford, with visitation after 11 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at Sharon Hills Memorial Park in Dover.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Carlisle Fire Department, 615 NW Front St., Milford, DE 19963.
