Expert panel to discuss advance care planning at public health event April 17

Delaware experts in the fields of advance directives, Delaware’s Medical Orders for Scope of Treatment, and palliative care will be available to answer questions about advance care planning and end-of-life decisions. The free public event and panel discussion will take place from 4 to 6 p.m., Monday, April 17, at Brandywine Assisted Living Chapel in Rehoboth Beach. 

Expert panelists include: Dr. Jeffrey Hawtof, Beebe Healthcare VP of Medical Operations and Informatics; Chaplain Keith Goheen, Beebe Healthcare; Melissa Walls, Vitas Healthcare (moderator); and Timothy Langan, Vitas Healthcare. 

This event is a program of Delaware Academy of Medicine and the Delaware Public Health Association. Light refreshments will be provided.
