Farm Bill amendment could hurt us all

April 26, 2018

The controversial Farm Bill has a new amendment tacked on (known as the King Amendment), and it could hurt us all.

This amendment, by notorious anti-animal Rep. Steve King, would overturn years of animal protection laws already passed by various states. It could even overturn established state laws on pharmaceutical sales, food quality, fishing regulations, product labeling, and tobacco restrictions.

The King Amendment is an outrageous assault on voter rights and state's rights. Laws that have already been passed should not be overturned by one extreme person.

Please urge your federal representative to speak up against this affront to local democracy.
