Fay Jacobs to bring ‘Aging Gracelessly’ to Milton Theatre Oct. 7

September 25, 2016

Author, activist and storyteller Fay Jacobs will perform her two-act show, “Aging Gracelessly,” at 8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 7, at the Milton Theatre.

Jacobs lives by a quote her father once told her, "Nothing is so bad if it's worth the story you can tell." Nothing could be truer about her show, in which she charts her lifetime of adventures and finding her oasis in "Gayberry, USA," also known as Rehoboth Beach. She tackles life, liberty and the aging process from zip lines to skunk sprays, lesbian invisibility to marriage equality.

Jacobs' books include "Fried and True: Tales from Rehoboth Beach," winner of the 2008 National Federation of Press Women Book of the Year for humor; "For Frying Out Loud: Rehoboth Beach Diaries;" and "Time Fries: Aging Gracelessly in Rehoboth Beach." Last year, Jacobs merged her A and M Books with Bywater Books.

The Milton Theatre is at 110 Union St. in historic downtown Milton. For more information, go to www.miltontheatre.com or call 302-684-3038.
