"Finding Nemo" to play Sunday, July 31 in Lewes Canalfront Park

July 29, 2016

The Cinema by the Canal series will continue with the classic family film, "Finding Nemo" at dusk, Sunday, July 31. It was originally scheduled for Thursday, July 28 but was postponed due to weather.

Rated G, "Finding Nemo" follows an adventurous young clownfish who is unexpectedly taken from his Great Barrier Reef home to a dentist's office aquarium. It's up to his worrisome father Marlin and his friendly but forgetful regal blue tang fish Dory to bring Nemo home - meeting vegetarian sharks, surfer dude turtles, hypnotic jellyfish, hungry seagulls and more along the way.

"Finding Nemo" is the precursor to this summer's hit film "Finding Dory" and won an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film. The movie is free thanks to the support of Citizens Bank and Friends of Lewes Canalfront Park. Attendees should bring a lawn chair or blanket and maybe a picnic. The park is at 211 Front St. in Historic Lewes on the banks of the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal.
