Football and turkey

November 23, 2017

This is a short week for sports talk and it's all about football.

The Philadelphia Eagles had a great performance in the second half of this past Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys. Going into the second half the Eagles were actually trailing with a score of 9 to 7. They came out on the field after halftime ready to rumble! They scored 30 points in the second half to bury the Cowboys.

With this last performance, the Eagles have cemented their standing this year as one of the best teams in the NFC Conference along with the Saints and the Vikings. Their next game is this Sunday against the Chicago Bears who have no chance of making the playoffs. This is not a time to get comfortable with the current lead and the Eagles must continue playing at 110 percent for the rest of the season.

Go Eagles!

Congratulations goes out to the Cape Henlopen women's field hockey team for winning another state championship. Winning 6 out of 7 years is very impressive!

Happy Thanksgiving.
