Foundation thanks commission, Slam Dunk

January 25, 2018

The Jason Anderson Foundation for Youth Sports sends its deepest thanks to the Delaware Sports Commission and the Slam Dunk to the Beach Committee for, once again, selecting our foundation as its charitable organization of choice for the 2017 Slam Dunk to the Beach tournament.

A 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the foundation helps needy children participate in community-organized youth sports activities. In just two years the foundation has awarded $18,000 in grants to youth sports organizations throughout Delaware. This year's Slam Dunk tournament raised $1,400 toward our 2018 goal by providing an opportunity to conduct the tournament's 50/50 raffle, and increase our visibility to the community.

The foundation has begun accepting and awarding 2018 spring grants to local youth sports organizations that share our goal of ensuring that children learn the important life experiences of teamwork, leadership and friendship while also benefiting from well-organized physical fitness activities.
