Four nursing students receive Louise Jarmon Hopkinson Scholarship

April 11, 2017

Demonstrating academic excellence, four students of Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing at Beebe Healthcare received this year's Louise Jarmon Hopkinson Scholarship.

A 1932 graduate of Beebe School of Nursing, Hopkinson served in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps and as a private-duty nurse at Beebe Hospital for many years. A generous bequest from her estate provides scholarship awards for the spring semester to Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing senior and first-year students at Beebe Healthcare who have achieved academic excellence.

The Beebe Medical Foundation manages and facilitates the awarding of the Louise Jarmon Hopkinson Scholarship. The student recipients this year are senior Bethany Campbell of Milford and first-year students Rebecca Tillman, Rehoboth Beach; Charmaine Ferebee, Frankford; and Chelsea Lehrer, Milton.
