Frances Mae Calhoun, Pennsylvania retiree
Frances Mae Calhoun, 80, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018, in Millsboro. She was the beloved wife of the late Dewey L Calhoun Sr. Born in Harrisburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Stephen F. Shean, and Beatrice M (Ditlow) Shean.
Frances was a 1956 graduate of Enola High School. She was employed for 35 years with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Corrections in Camp Hill, Pa.
She is survived by two daughters, Yvonne M. Calhoun of Lewes and Gail P. Valora of North Bend, Pa.; a son, Dewey L. Calhoun Jr. (Renae) of Etters, Pa.; sisters Judy Lynch (John) of Willards, Md., and Betty Ritter of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; an aunt, Twila P Daugherty of Orange City, Fla.; six grandsons, Nicholas (Kim), Clifton, Michael (Kendall), Toby, Cameron and Austin; a granddaughter, Emily (Brian); and five great-granddaughters, Sophia, Katherine, Paige, Josephine and Lily. She was predeceased by a brother, Stewart Moody.
A private memorial service will be held at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church in Renovo, Pa. Dewey and Frances will enter into their final resting place at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Leidy, Pa.
