Frank Paul Presta, accomplished attorney

Frank Paul Presta, 81, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 3, 2018, after a short illness, with his family by his side in his beloved town of Lewes.

Frank was born in the Bronx, N.Y., May 19, 1936. He graduated in 1957 as a civil engineer from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and went on to attend Georgetown Law School where he graduated in 1961. He was passionate about IP law and actively practiced for 57 years. Until his passing, Frank was a partner at the law firm of Nixon & Vanderhye, P.C. in Arlington, Va., where he serviced his clients with great care and wisdom. He was loved and respected by his friends and colleagues, and recognized as one of the top IP lawyers in his field.

Frank cherished spending time with his family, especially at the beach. He was active in the Lions Club and his church, and enjoyed traveling the world with his wife, Mary, to whom he was happily married for 56 years. He had a passion for food and wine, and maintained an impressive wine collection which his family and friends will continue to enjoy in his memory. He loved the arts and was very supportive of local artists, whose work fills his home.

Frank is survived by his wife, Mary; his four children; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service to celebrate Frank's life will be planned for a later date at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Lewes.
