Frank S. Barbour, heavy equipment operator

Frank S. Barbour of Lewes, born July 12, 1954, in Roanoke Va., passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family, after a long, courageous battle on hospice care, Thursday, Dec 1, 2016.

Frank was the first born of Frank and Stella (Martin) Barbour. Frank was a heavy equipment operator, employed by several companies in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Frank always had a smile and a witty remark for whomever he met. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and visiting with friends and sharing great conversation.

In addition to his parents, and stepfather Gordon Stalnecker, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Jimmer Goldey, his wife Carol Ann Goldey, and his brother-in-law Bruce Goldey all of Pennsylvania.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 36 years, Rose (Goldey); his son Joseph and wife Courtney of Bear; his daughter Kimberly of Georgetown; three grandchildren, Dylan Barbour, Colby Barbour of Georgetown, and Teagan of Bear; his two sisters, many brother- and sistes-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. Frank leaves behind a dear friend who he considered a brother; Skip Mosiej, and of course his loving beagle, Lucy.

Funeral services will be held at Watson Funeral Home in Millsboro, Monday Dec 5; visiting hours are from 4 to 6 p.m.,with services at 6.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Compassionate Care Hospice 20165 Office Circle, Georgetown DE 19947, or monetary contributions to Rose Barbour to help defray funeral expenses.
