Frieda H. Gotreaux, loved gardening, animals

Frieda H. Gotreaux, 94, of Frankford, passed away peacefully Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, at her home.
Frieda was born in Germany Nov. 29, 1922, daughter of the late Frederick Westfal and Hilda (Golon) Westfal. She was a seamstress working for Hess Apparel for 11 years while living in Frankford.
Frieda and her late husband, Henry "Hank" Gotreaux lived extensively throughout the world and in the United States before his retirement from the military. Frieda was a member of the Community Lutheran Church in Frankford, and was a past member of the ladies auxiliary at American Legion Post 28 in Millsboro and VFW Post 7234 in Ocean View. She loved gardening, animals, sewing, knitting and crocheting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Henry "Hank" Gotreaux in 2000; and her siblings back in Germany. She is survived by her neighbor, friend and caregiver, Olive Ann Milutin of Frankford; and several great-nephews and great-nieces in Germany and Canada.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 25, at the chapel of the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro. A service will also be held at 9:30 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 5, at the Community Lutheran Church, 30897 Omar Road, Frankford.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frieda's name to the Community Lutheran Church, 30897 Omar Road, Frankford, DE 19945, or to a charity of your choice.
