Furtado to hold healthy detoxification workshop Jan. 6

For those who feel ready for some weight loss
December 20, 2017

To kick-start the new year, Kim Furtado, N.D., will offer a healthy detoxification workshop from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 6, at Quakertown Wellness Center. The workshop is for those who feel ready for some weight loss and just need to push that reset button. It provides the information and jump-start to help shed unwanted weight, reduce pains and boost energy.

In naturopathic practice since 2001, Furtado shares her knowledge about the liver's detoxification system, environmental sources of stress and inflammation, and food intolerances.
Exploring the emotional side of cleansing one's life, balanced with the physical need to reduce inflammation, the workshop explains how food has the ability to restore health.

Safe for healthy individuals and for those with chronic symptoms, this workshop helps attendees learn how to use food to restore vitality.

Discussions and meal plans include ways to address obstacles to ideal weight; letting go of physical, mental and emotional toxins; identifying toxic relationships with food and people; balancing blood sugars and stress hormones; and reducing inflammation through an anti-inflammatory meal plan.

Lunch is included in the registration fee of $95 per person for the all-day workshop.

Attendees can return home with the knowledge and inspiration needed to continue to choose vibrant, clean foods on a daily basis. This workshop is in collaboration with Juice Fresh in Rehoboth Beach.

Quakertown Wellness Center is at 1204 Savannah Road, Lewes. Preregistration is requested; walk-ins are also welcome as space allows. For more information, call 302-945-2107 or email npih2001@yahoo.com. To register, go to www.DrKimFurtado.com.
