Gay a great addition to Rehoboth board

July 27, 2017

I met Susan Gay three years ago at a Rehoboth Beach Homeowners' Association picnic. I was immediately impressed with her interest and enthusiasm for the City of Rehoboth Beach.

Since then I've gotten to know her better and to understand how her passion for our community can translate into a meaningful and productive place on the board of commissioners. Ms. Gay has played a significant role in a number of areas in the city. She is a skilled communicator as evidenced by her messages and web news for the homeowners.

Susan is a tireless advocate for preserving the community; I believe she was the key player in bringing Ed McMahon, a noted urban planner, to town to present his principles for sustaining communities. She also took the lead in bringing attention to the significance of tree preservation; she was instrumental in the creation of a city advisory committee to address such issues and is a co-chair currently.

Although I don't always agree with her on some issues, I appreciate the importance of diverse positions and independent thinking in reaching the goal of progress in our city. She will make a great addition to the board of commissioners. Please give her your vote.
