Gay has commitment Rehoboth needs

July 13, 2017

I support Susan Gay in her campaign to be a Rehoboth Beach commissioner in the upcoming election.

I have been impressed with her work with the many groups that she volunteers with, but the effort I know best is her leadership in forming and co-chairing the Mayor's Advisory Committee on Trees.

She worked tirelessly to get the committee up and running, and has continued her leadership as we have gotten to work educating everyone in Rehoboth Beach about the importance of trees in keeping our community as such a wonderful place.

I'm quite familiar with the commitment required to run for and to serve in public office. I served 11 terms on the city council in Takoma Park, Md., the last four as mayor. Susan Gay has the intelligence, the drive, and the desire to be a great commissioner, and I know this because I have worked closely with her. Please join me in voting for Susan Gay for commissioner of Rehoboth Beach Aug. 12.
