Gay will hit ground running in Rehoboth

July 27, 2017

As full-time residents of Rehoboth Beach, my husband and I are sincerely grateful to retiring Commissioner Lorraine Zellers for all her hard work and excellent stewardship of our fair city over for the past many years. Thankfully, we have a candidate willing and able to take her place.

Susan Gay is a regular attendee at most city meetings for years, and she is acutely aware of all the issues now facing our city. Susan has represented the RB Homeowners' Association at countless city meetings dealing with ocean outfall, new city hall, Baymart and all that issue entails, as well as our ongoing struggle to balance commercial enterprise with quality of life. She can truly hit the road running. Not only is Susan knowledgeable, she is also personable and very approachable.

Most importantly, we also have a very formidable mayoral race, and Susan is just the person to work with either individual who ultimately sits in the mayor's chair. She has the wonderful ability to disagree without being disagreeable, which I think is a quality quite valuable and rare in politics today. Please consider giving Susan the opportunity to serve in this important position.
