George D. ‘Denny’ Stetz, avid fisherman
George D. "Denny" Stetz, 69 of Millsboro, formerly of Bel Air, Md., passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017, in his home. He was born May 11, 1947, in Baltimore, Md., a son of the late George and Bernadette (Bach) Stetz.
Mr. Stetz proudly served his country in the National Guard. For 46 years Denny was a marketing manager for AT&T until his retirement in 1997. He was well known by his friends and family as an avid fisherman.
Denny leaves behind his loving wife of 46 years, Janice (Keller) Stetz; and a son, Tyler Stetz of Millsboro. He is also survived by a brother, Tom Stetz and his wife Kye of Linthicum, Md.; three sisters, Karen Jantz and her husband Bob of Pocono, Pa., Mary Beatty and her husband Keith of Parkville, Md., and Jane Frutchey and her husband Bill of Baltimore.
A celebration of Life will be held Monday, March 20, at 11:30 a.m., in Melson's Long Neck Chapel, 32013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro, where friends may call at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Denny's name to Compassionate Care Hospice, 20165 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947.
