George E. Chandler, Mountaire retiree
George E. Chandler, 79, of Millsboro, passed away peacefully Friday, April 20, 2018, in Beebe Healthcare, Lewes.
George retired from Mountaire Feed Mill, Frankford, in 2000, where he worked in the Maintenance Department for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Catherine Chandler; his sister, Ruth Gum; and two brothers, Preston Chandler, Sr. and Roland Chandler.
George is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Christine of Millsboro; a son, Douglas Chandler and wife Sandie of Frankford; and a daughter, Jane Franklin and husband Bobby, of Millsboro; four sisters, Joyce Ann Tubbs of Dagsboro, Joan Jenkins and husband Edgar of Millsboro, Jean Robinson of Frankford, and Carolyn Moore and husband Clinton of Georgetown; one brother, Virgil Chandler I and wife Betty Jane of Frankford; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held at Millsboro Cemetery, Millsboro, Monday, April 23.
