The 15th annual Georgetown Library 5K run attracted 60 runners June 15 to West Pine Street along with another 20 walkers.

Matt Klapak, 15, from Gordonsville, Va., was the overall winner in 18:18. Matt’s younger brother Sam, 13, ran 26:35, good for 22nd place.

Jackie Quigley was the first woman and seventh overall in a time of 23:11.

“It’s a small race, but always fun,” said Race Director Tim Bamforth. “I can’t believe we’ve been doing it for 15 years.”

Twenty of the 60 runners listed their address as Georgetown.

The top 12 runners broke 25 minutes, which is a 7:57 mile pace.

The race was part of a Triple Crown weekend that included the Milton Irish Eyes 5K June 16 and the Fathers Day 5K in Rehoboth June 17.
