Go Red kicks off Heart Month in Dover

February 10, 2018

The 15th Annual Southern Delaware Go Red for Women Luncheon was held at Dover Downs Feb. 2, with the theme Unmask Your Potential.

The event featured lunch, silent auction, health screenings, inspiring speakers, vendors and live entertainment. Heart disease and stroke kill one in three women - more than all cancers combined.  Fortunately, with education and commitment to lifestyle changes, 80 percent of cardiac events can be prevented, saving millions of lives.

The Go Red For Women movement works to empower women to know their numbers and to take control of their hearth health. More than 670,000 women’s lives have been saved thanks to the efforts of the GRFW movement, which began 14 years ago, but the fight to educate women about healthy lifestyle changes is far from over!

Women who Go Red live healthier lives.
