Gourmet Wild Game Dinner March 22 to support conservation

March 10, 2018

Delaware Wild Lands’ annual Wild Game Dinners at Cantwell’s Tavern and Abbott’s Grill are always a hot ticket. The Cantwell’s dinner recently sold out again, for the sixth year in a row. Tickets must be purchased by Thursday, March 15, for the Wild Game Dinner Thursday, March 22, at Abbott’s Grill, an award-winning restaurant in Milford.

Tickets include a five-course gourmet dinner of locally sourced wild game with alcohol pairings chosen by the chef to accompany each course. This event is a benefit for Delaware Wild Lands, a nonprofit conservation organization.

Executive Chef Kevin Reading will create and prepare each dish exclusively for this event. Last year’s feast of wild game at Abbott's Grill included such dishes as venison braciole salad, duck liver pate and salmon, game bird gumbo, and wild game cassoulet with venison and duck confit.

Delaware Wild Lands owns and manages 3,500 acres of beach and wildlife habitat at Milford Neck in Kent County, near Abbott's Grill. Dinner guests will learn the latest updates about land conservation in Delaware and also have the chance to win door prizes.

Event sponsors include Burris Logistics, Jerry’s Inc. Paving & Excavating, and L&W Insurance. For more information or to purchase tickets, go to www.eventbrite.com and search Wild Game Dinner at Abbott’s Grill or call the DWL office at 302-378-2736.
