Granville Lee LeCates, a great father

Granville Lee LeCates "Pop," 76, passed away Saturday July, 23 2016, at his home in Millsboro, surrounded by family following a strong battle with cancer.

He was predeceased by his Wife Mattie "Louise" LeCates; and is survived by his children: Tammy Esham and husband Barry of Dagsboro, Laurie Brown of Millsboro, Joy LeCates of Millsboro, Buddy LeCates and wife Melissa of Millsboro, Leslie LeCates and wife Crystal of Seaford, and Thomas LeCates and wife Jackie of Harbeson; He was also survived by 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Pop loved spending time with his family, and loved going to the stock car races any chance he got. He was a true testament of what a great father should be, and will greatly be missed by family and loved ones alike.

His services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, July 28, at Watson Funeral home in Millsboro, where friends may call after 11 a.m. for viewing and visitation. Burial will follow at Carey's Cemetery in Millsboro.
