Greene Turtle Runs to benefit Harry K Foundation

July 21, 2016

The Greene Turtle Restaurants in Lewes and in Rehoboth are sponsoring a series of runs this summer. The Greene Turtle Race Series benefit Harry K Foundation's children and baby pantries. Participants in all events will be entered for prizes and Turtle Bucks.

"The Harry K. Foundation is determined to end childhood hunger in The First State one child at a time," says Greene Turtle owner Bill Frankis. "Because both the foundation and the Greene Turtle restaurants share a common vision, we felt that we should work together in this very important cause."

Harry Keswani established the foundation in 2013 and continues to raise money and donate 100 percent of the proceeds to help alleviate the problem of food insecurity in the local community. "No child should know the pain of hunger," says Keswani. With the help of the Harry K Foundation, food is provided throughout the state via the food bank, the school districts' food pantries and the community baby pantries.
