Greg Raschdorf named general manager of Lewes Yacht Club

February 26, 2017

After 85 years in operation, the Lewes Yacht Club has hired its first general manager. Greg Raschdorf will take the reins Monday, May 1. He has over 30 years of club management experience. He has a broad range of knowledge in all aspects of management and has a hands-on, lead-by-example style.

“He is the perfect person to bring the staff and committees into a cohesive team,” said LYC board member Ron Krajewski. Most recently, Raschdorf was the general manager of the Corinthian Yacht Club of Philadelphia where he increased income, tripled participation in junior sailing, increased private-function business and initiated several new programs for the members.

Raschdorf is a graduate of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and is a Certified Club Manager with the Club Managers Association of America, a professional continuing-education association. Recently, he was inducted into the New Jersey Lacrosse Hall of Fame for his contributions to the sport as a player and coach. Raschdorf and his wife Marie have three grown children, and they plan to relocate from New Jersey to the Lewes area.

The Lewes Yacht Club is a private club established in 1932 with a strong volunteer history and commitment. For more information, go to www.lewesyc.org.
