Gregory A. Smith, enjoyed horse racing

Mr. Gregory A. Smith, 56, of Millsboro, passed away suddenly Monday, March 13, 2017.

Greg was born in Lewes, Jan. 13, 1961, to the late Joshua William Smith and Mary Lou Wooten Smith who survives him. In addition to his father he is also preceded in death a son, Joshua Allen Smith; and two brothers, Scott Smith and Dean Smith.

He was a Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Orioles fan. Greg enjoyed horses and horse races. He was a stable hand at Banks Horse Farm for many years. He was known to be very generous, superstitious and full of expression and emotion.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by daughters Kielee Smith of Millsboro and Kourtney Smith of Millville; a son, Matthew Kauffman of Dagsboro; the mother of his children, Loretta Cykosky of Millsboro; a brother, James Michael Smith of Millsboro; and grandchildren: McKenzie, Macy and Michael. He is also survived by two very close friends, Dave and Lee, as well as many extended family members and friends.

Services will be private. Arrangements by Watson Funeral Home, Millsboro.
