Guang Ping Yang Tai Chi classes begin Sept. 19 in Rehoboth

September 18, 2017

A certified instructor of the national Guang Ping Yang Tai Chi Association, Sifu Gary Rosenblum, has been teaching the Chinese art of Tai Chi Chuan for over 15 years. He recently relocated from northern New Jersey to southern Delaware and is eager to share the life-enhancing qualities of Yang-style Tai Chi to the residents of Sussex County. Classes are open to everyone and will be held from 9 to 10 a.m., every Tuesday and Thursday beginning Sept. 19, at Rehoboth Massage and Alignment, 19633 Blue Bird Lane, Unit 7, in Rehoboth Beach.

Tai Chi Chuan is a form of exercise that improves balance, coordination, concentration, relaxation and meditation. The movements are slow and easy. Originally developed as a self-defense martial art, Tai Chi Chuan was later discovered to have many health benefits that everyone can enjoy without engaging in physical combat. In his classes, Rosenblum will demonstrate some of the self-defense applications so students can envision them while practicing the movements without having to engage another person.

The cost is $10 per class. Classes are open to all ages, female and male. For more information, call 201-694-6135. For directions, go to www.massageandalignment.com.
