Harlene Louise Riddle, ran poultry farm

Harlene Louise Riddle, 68, of Millsboro, passed away Friday, June 9, 2017 in the care of Beebe Healthcare, Lewes. She was born July 31, 1948, in Dagsboro to the late Harley and Evelyn Louise Kruger Bentley.

She married Glen David Riddle Nov. 13, 1965, and together they raised a family, ran a chicken farm and became a part of the community. Harlene was self-employed, running the poultry farm for the past 40 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and her girls’ trips to Vegas.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Glen; her daughter Lori Niblett and husband Kenny; her son Paul and his fiancé Brooke; and her daughter-in-law, Kimberly Schmidt. She is also survived by her brother, Ralph Bentley and his wife Velma from Georgia. She also has five grandsons: Joshua, Justin, and Tanner Niblett, and Paul Jr., and Keith Riddle; and a granddaughter: Savannah Baker. There are also five great-grandchildren: Aden Kissinger; and Gunner, Jaelyn, Charolette and Aubrielle Niblett; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert Bentley and Donald Elzey.

There will be a funeral service and Celebration of Her Life held at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., in Millsboro Tuesday, June 13, at 1 p.m., with Pastor Robert Hudson officiating. Friends may call for viewing and visitation from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. Interment follows at Carey's Cemetery, Millsboro.
