Henlopen Avenue work must be completed ASAP

May 11, 2018

As a resident of Henlopen Avenue in Rehoboth Beach, I appreciate that the city is being proactive and having the street repaved correctly.

Henlopen Avenue has been a construction zone with the new water main on the south side and the force main (part of the ocean outfall project) on the north side. This has been ongoing since October 2017. It has already been a huge inconvenience, with multiple delays.

The newspaper reported the fourth delay of possible repaving into the first two weeks of June. We demand that the city of Rehoboth Beach expedite completion and paving of our street prior to Memorial Day, with additional work crews, extended hours of work, and whatever else necessary. We should not have to endure this work lasting into June or July.
