Historic Lewes Farmers Market in its 11th season

As the sign says, in 11 years, more than 364,000 shoppers have spent more than $5.4 million at the Historic Lewes Farmers Market. Market volunteers have donated nearly $45,000 in food to local charities and more than $35,000 in grants to local farmers.

The market has grown to include three locations – on Saturdays 8 a.m. to noon from May 6 to Oct. 7 at H.P. Smith Park on Johnson and Dupont avenues; on Saturdays at Richard Shields Elementary School off Savannah Road 9 a.m. to noon from Oct. 7 to Nov. 18; and on Wednesdays 8 to 11 a.m. from June 7 to Aug. 30 at Crooked Hammock brewery/restaurant on Kings Highway.
