H.O.B. students perform ‘Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory’

January 18, 2017

H. O. Brittingham Elementary School was transformed into a chocolate factory Dec. 8 for the Learning Through the Arts musical performance of Roald Dahl's "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory."

"Once again the kids of HOB shined on stage," says Musical Director Marian Sunnergren. "The students are incredible to work with. The level of growth from day one to performance day is always remarkable. Every year, there are new students who catch the theater bug by participating in this program. I'm very proud of all of them!" Featured in this production were Timothy Rossi as Willy, Adrianna Powell as Charlie and Xavier Brooks as Grandpa Joe.

This is the eighth year of the school's Learning Through the Arts program, which features approximately 100 second- through fifth-graders in a musical twice a year. This program is funded by 21st Century Community Learning Centers grants.
