Holiday fair at Cape Henlopen Senior Center had something for everyone

December 15, 2017

The Cape Henlopen Senior Center in Rehoboth Beach sponsored a two-day holiday fair Nov. 20 and Dec. 1. In all, 25 vendors took part, offering something for all tastes and pocketbooks, including artwork, paintings and photographs, makeup and skin-care products, homemade baked goods, jams, jellies, specially blended teas, handcrafted jewelry, handmade sweaters, scarves and hats, and more.

A fully decorated mini café featured sausage sandwiches and hot coffee or tea for breakfast, and hot dogs at lunchtime.

Free tickets to win door prizes were offered with drawings every two hours, and a 50/50 raffle each day. The big winner of the of two tickets to the Eagles vs. Cowboys football game was Frank Desiderio of Westchester, Pa., who purchased his ticket at the Sea Witch Festival.

Thanks to the City of Rehoboth and Police Chief Keith Banks, reserved parking was available for the first time this year for holiday fair attendees. Special thanks go to all the center volunteers for giving their time and expertise.
