Holocaust art exhibit reception set Dec. 9 at Lewes library

The Lewes Public Library is hosting a nationally acclaimed exhibit, Fabric of Survival: the Art of Esther Nisenthal Krinitz, Friday, Dec. 9 to Thursday, Jan. 5. This traveling exhibit has been displayed at museums throughout the country. The story of two Holocaust survivors is told through a series of 36 fabric and embroidery panels.

At 7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 9, the library will hold an opening reception and screening of the documentary of Esther Krinitz's journey, with the artist's daughter as guest speaker. The 30-minute, award-winning film is called "Through the Eye of the Needle." Registration is required; call the library at 302-645-2733.

Two guided tours of the exhibition, narrated by the artist's daughter, will be given at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 10. Tours are by registration only.
