How to Write Winning Short Stories workshop set Sept. 17

August 29, 2016

The Eastern Shore Writers' Association Educational Fund will present How to Write Winning Short Stories, a writer’s workshop, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, in Easton, Md.

When it comes to giving writing an award-winning polish, Nancy Day Sakaduski wrote the book...literally. She is the author of “How to Write Winning Short Stories,” and is ready to share her expertise with other writers. Workshop attendees will learn specific techniques and insights to help their work win contests and win over publishers. Drawing on her experience as a publisher, Sakaduski will provide the tools and skills for success.

Sakaduski helps writers perfect their short stories and prepare them for publication, offering tips through her blog and newsletters. She is the author of over 100 articles and 23 books. As the founder and owner of Cat and Mouse Press, she runs the Rehoboth Beach Reads Short Story Contest, which attracts entries from across the United States.

The workshop will be held at Trinity Cathedral's Miller Hall, 315 Goldsborough St., Easton Md. The cost is $35 for ESWA members and $45 for others. To register, contact Suzanne Sanders at zsand@goeaston.net or 410-820-7115.
