Howard Chambers Smith, forklift operator

Howard Chambers Smith (Ho), 61, of Bridgeville passed away at home with his family by his side Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018. He was born in Bridgeville April 7, 1956, son of Mary (Dennis) Smith and the late Clemon Smith Sr.

Mr. Smith attended Bridgeville High School. He worked as a forklift operator at Pet Poultry for 22 years. In his spare time, Mr. Smith enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking BBQ with his friends and family, and sitting out on the front porch. He also liked dancing and gardening, but most of all he loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, BJ Smith; his sons: Pumpkin, Tony, Donyeal, Randy (Malinda), Cedric and Robbie (Evie); many loving grandchildren; his six brothers; a sister; his sister-in-law Oleeta; his nieces and nephews; and his special friends, Buck West, David Kefaver, Jake Culver and Bobby Huntsberger.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, Feb. 3, at 11 a.m., at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws St., Bridgeville, where friends may visit beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be private.
