Ida Mae Friedel, loved family life

Ida Mae Friedel, 90 of Seaford, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016, at Harrison Senior Living of Georgetown, where she had been a resident for eight years. She will be joining her recently deceased, beloved son, Dewey Friedel, in heaven.

Ida Mae's life was centered around her family, sisters, and church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, George D. Friedel Jr.; her daughters, Diane Booth and Carolyn Merryman; her daughter-in-law, Ronda Friedel; her grandchildren: Jeanne Stewart, Jamie Booth, Kristie Hurley, Eric Merryman, and Isaac Friedel; and nine wonderful great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held Monday, July 18, at 2 p.m., at Christ Evangelistic Church in Laurel, where friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Burial will follow the service at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Seaford.

In lieu of flowers, it is the family's request that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation at www.alzfdn.org.
