Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant in Rehoboth took a major step toward its summer opening with delivery of its brew house April 17.

John Panasiewicz, Iron Hill head brewer, and his team installed the brewing equipment, which includes a mash tun, brew kettle, fermenters and a grain mill.

“We’re excited to have this equipment installed and ready to brew,” Panasiewicz said in a statement April 17. “This setup allows us to brew about 54 different seasonals each year alongside our Signature Series.”

According to a press release, it takes two weeks to get the brewery fully functioning and operational. It takes two to four weeks for beer to be fully fermented once it enters the fermentation tank. The brewery at Iron Hill Rehoboth Beach plans to produce over 900 barrels of beer annually.

Located at 19815 Coastal Highway, Iron Hill Rehoboth Beach will be the Wilmington-based company’s third location in Delaware. The press release said construction is approximately 70 percent completed and a summer 2018 opening is anticipated.
