Isabelle ‘Joyce’ Duncan, loved the Lord
Isabelle "Joyce" Duncan (nee Volz) wa born Oct. 10, 1928. Joyce fought a good fight and ran a good race, finally reaching the finish line Friday, April 6, 2018, where she can now rest in the arms of her beloved Savior.
Joyce's love for the Lord was always first in her life. She was a homemaker, loving wife and mother.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, Robert E. Duncan Sr. BMC; her parents Richard and Isabel Volz; her sister Nan Taylor; and brothers Richard, Charles and Gordan.
She is survived by three children; Robert Duncan Jr. (Regina) of Florida, Joyce Ann Duncan (William Jones) of New Castle, and Paula King (William) of Bridgeville; stepdaughter Judy (Mark) of Nutley, N.J.; and her 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her brothers William Volz (Pat) of Florida and Ronald Volz (Judy) of Pennsylvania.
There will a memorial dinner at the family home; the date is still to be determined. The family askes in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to Companionate Care Hospice, 20165 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947.
