It’s Dallas week

November 16, 2017

Considering how well the Philadelphia Eagles have been playing, they are definitely a favorite to win this week against the Dallas Cowboys. I expect it to be a very close game. This is the Cowboys’ last chance to have a shot to win the NFC East Division for this year.

The rivalry games between the Eagles and the Cowboys can be counted on to be extremely competitive and hard fought. Even when the Eagles were really bad from 1992 to 2000, they used to do a pretty good job of showing up for that Division game. The game is on Sunday Night Football on NBC so it will make for a late night. Go Eagles!

I heard a rumor that there is a possibility of having an 'Alternate' World Cup of Soccer for the teams that did not qualify this year. It would be hosted in the United States. I think this is a ridiculous idea. I first heard this on a Men In Blazers podcast, but I thought this was a joke. If this is for real, I think it's a bit of an embarrassment to do this along with the real tournament. Just because the U.S. did not make the World Cup this year doesn't mean we deserve the right to host something like this.

College football is coming down to the business end of the season. I think it will be Alabama, Clemson, Miami, and Oklahoma going into the 4 team playoff system. Ideally, I would love to see a playoff system that was 8 teams instead of 4 but that would create a scheduling nightmare and push the season out too far.

The old BCS was very hard to follow for who would make it to the Championship games. At least the 4 team playoff format is a lot more predictable.
