The Delaware State Fair. Where else can you watch racing pigs, feed a giraffe, dig for dinosaur bones, watch cows being milked and mingle with butterflies all in the same place.
And many go for the wide variety of food. Fried candy, doughnut hamburgers and every other conceivable food item can be found at the seemingly endless lines of vendors.
Each day of the Delaware State Fair is filled with events, shows, performances and contests. Check out 97 things to do at the 97th annual fair at www.delawarestatefair.com. The fair continues in Harrington off Route 13 through Saturday, July 30.
