Sposato names Jake Dmiterchik landscape manager

April 11, 2017

Jake Dmiterchik knows all about building teams. He's been playing on them all his life, from Little League through college. As a stellar athlete at Cape Henlopen High School, he received all-state recognition in baseball and football.

Next, at Salisbury University, he continued to excel on the baseball field and in the classroom. He was named academic all-conference as a freshman, junior and senior. As a senior, he batted .358, hit nine home runs and drove in 58 runs. His accomplishments earned him a place on the all-conference and all-region teams. He did all this while maintaining a 3.4 GPA in business management.

When he read an article about Sposato Landscape Manager Jon Goodman, a former Cape ballplayer and friend, who had just been named Sposato Manager of the Year, he knew he wanted a career with the high-end landscaper. "I love to compete and build teams. I knew what type of person Jon was. And I know what type of person I am. So I knew Sposato would be a good fit for me," said Dmiterchik.

At Sposato, he will lead 13 crews consisting of about 60 employees who mow, edge, mulch and trim landscapes at several beach communities. "I look forward to working with my crew leaders and developing them into a strong team," said Dmiterchik. "I know if I train them properly and support them, we will be successful."
